Ted Pemberton, founder and principal, handles executive search for financial and “top-five” executive positions.He has over thirty-five years experience in human resources for the insurance and banking industries. Previously, Ted was the head of human resources at Peoples Heritage Financial Group (a regional bank holding company with headquarters in Portland, Maine). He has a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Maine, where he has recently been involved as a member of the Alumni Board. Ted and his wife Danielle live in Yarmouth, Maine, and in his spare time, which he’ll joke that there’s no such a thing, he enjoys golf and travel.
Derek Pemberton
has over twelve years with the firm focusing on executive level engagements within the financial, risk, operations and technology practices. He manages the firm’s operations, technology and research functions and is a member of our Board of Directors. Derek lives in Gorham with his wife Susan and recently served on the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes.
Jill Kadis Williams came aboard in January of 2003 with a solid recruitment background that includes experience with Mercy Hospital, Maine Medical Center, and search firms in Portland, Maine and West Springfield, Massachusetts. Jill serves clients throughout the healthcare and not-for-profit arenas with all their recruitment needs, handles extensive physician recruitment, and assists clients with future business planning for their overall recruitment efforts.A University of Massachusetts graduate with a B.S. in business administration, Jill lives with her husband and two boys in the Scarborough, Maine area. She is an active member of the Scarborough School System, volunteers with the Road to Recovery Program for the American Cancer Society, and participates with the Dana Farber Cancer Center and the Relay for Life.
Jessica Feinstein joined Pemberton Swift in January of 2008 as a result of the merger. Jessica has considerable experience in business management, human resources, legal training, and executive and legal recruiting, having previously worked as the lateral associate hiring manager and the legal training and development manager for Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC in Boston. She also has significant experience handling senior-level search engagements for a diverse client base, including entrepreneurial start-ups, manufacturing, biotechnology, advertising and marketing, law firms and non-profit agencies. A Midwest native, Jessica moved to New England in 1997 and to Portland in 2005. She is a literacy volunteer and has served on many fundraising committees for the Portland Symphony Orchestra.
Mike Erickson joined the Healthcare Division of Pemberton Swift in 2007. With his B.S.N. from Saint Josephs College, he works to diversify the division to include more specialties while expanding it geographically. Raised in Scarborough, Maine, Mike now lives in Portland where he enjoys the city’s vast social and cultural opportunities.
Sheila Stevenson grew up in Greenwich, CT but resisted the fast-paced Manhattan-esque lifestyle that it promoted and packed up her family to move to Maine nearly 6 years ago. With over 18 years of executive and healthcare recruiting she confesses to having a true passion for her work. She began her career on the corporate side of recruiting by working for Occidental Chemical Corporations’s headquarters in Darien, CT and played an essential role in their merger with Diamond Chemical Corporation and eventual relocation to Dallas, TX. She chose to stay in Greenwich and over the next 5 years worked in healthcare and biotech recruiting for Greenwich Hospital and later, Technicon Instruments (Bayer, Inc.). She earned her professional certification and joined the world of professional and healthcare recruiting. She considers herself a good reader of people and takes great pride in her ability to make a “good fit” for everyone involved.
